For the novice only

Nice portraits of multicultural, multigenerational familiesThe format pairs large photos of a variety of families from many cultures doing everyday things with simple descriptive sentences. The photos, taken by professional photographer Huszar, who specializes in children's portraiture, are colorful and well composed. Unfortunately, the editing and printing process did something funky to them, because they are slightly out of focus and grainy, and it doesn't appear that was intentional.
Still children will enjoy looking at these pictures of families doing fun things together and exploring the ideas that different family members play different roles.

Concise descriptions of a variety of American fads

Mediocre tales...However, one element in this book is outstanding. A mural-of-sorts runs along the bottom of each page--a different mural for each tale. These murals tell the tale in minature and are a joy to explore. I found myself skipping ahead just to see what each new mural would be. This unique feature makes this book worth a look.

Very Interesting, But....

I found it insightful , yet lacking in the context.
